Okay. So using noise was out of the question as well. That wasn’t too reassuring, now was it? In fact, there was pretty much nothing she could just do at the moment. Sure, technically she was free to do whatever she wanted, but since this was clearly no normal mist, even just walking ahead could be a mistake, A wise man once said, people who do a lot, make a lot of mistakes – and someone who does nothing makes the greatest mistake of all. Was that aimed at situations like these? Sayings like these, they always came to her at times like these. Right now, the logical part of her brain was telling her to do nothing, to just stay and wait until a solution presented itself. That was a reasonable, logical course of action. And it also felt oh so very wrong. She wasn’t too impatient a person, no. Yes, she had just caused quite a ruckus because she acted immediately after having a vision, and she was taking risks on impulse right now. But still, in her calculations, even then the odds had been in her favor. Right now they were slim, very slim, and even though she had a slight idea, it was pretty much a stupid one still. There was no guarantee, but, she thought, smiling, when were there any guarantees, anyway? Carefully, she reached into her pockets, and picked up the one thing she had stored in there for this endeavor. Light packing was a must, yes, but this thing was actually two things, at least at first. Yet, when she brought the two halves of her golden beetle together, they became one, and even more so, came to live, a small beetle that was little different from other beetles at first glance. Yet, she knew it was unique, and when it fizzled around for a little, before pretty much setting a way, slightly glowing, she knew it had at least found something. It was actually her first time using it, but since not using it would be even worse, she just trusted her theory and followed it very closely, intent not to lose it too. Besides, after a few steps, the mist itself started to present her with a reason to go on, a sudden drop in temperature, that made her shiver. Whether or not that was a sign she was going off rails, or the right way, she could not tell. She could only go on.
