- - - - - Who could ever say no to a party?
Yeah yeah, even though AJ was on duty that day, the General knew just how to get out of things she had no intentions of doing. Unimportant paperwork, for instance, was left to a newly hired secretary that made things a hundred times easier, especially when she needed to get away from all of that. Hey, even the boss needs a break sometimes, and contrary to what most other people thought, it wasn't easy being the one in charge of a legion of armed men and women. The whole zombie outbreak did not make things easier, either.
Hence the reason why she chose to ride her bike and get out of the luxurious work station that she had, claiming that she was on her way towards a very important meeting with a guild mistress, just to 'improve their relations'. Of course, barely anyone knew just what sort of relationship the redhead wished to improve on, since, for the most part, the only person on her side of the job and family who knew about this was her older sister. So, in a sense, she wasn't exactly lying, she just manipulated the truth in a fashion that's pretty much harmless to those that were involved. Or so she hoped.
Port Hargeon hadn't been the safest town of all, what with the recent rising of dead corpses, but most towns were, at least during the time where they're still under the daylight. Although the invitation clearly stated that this was supposed to be a party of sorts, AJ wasn't dressed for the occasion at all. In fact, the only time where she's not dressed in that tight fitting battlesuit of hers was when she's at home, relaxing. Still, it was not to say that she didn't look presentable at all.
In around fifteen minutes give or take, the girl had already found herself zooming around the Southernmost part of Hargeon and making that last hard left turn that would lead her to the front gates of the majestic castle. All in all, she was probably one of the only people who could get away with drifting across roads in public, even though she doesn't do it that often. The streets were practically empty, what with the announcements that people should stay indoors as much as possible. It was safer under the daylight, but that's only because They were easier to be spotted if compared to the darkness of the night.
Upon showing the proof of her identification - as if she needed to in the first place - to the guards that were up front, taking care of the creatures that were supposed to be dead, as loud music blared from inside the castle, but the loudness was nothing compared to the revving of her motorcycle's engine, which probably gave out the hint that she had arrived.
It was still a working day, and so she'd have to return to her office by nightfall, but she still had a good five hours or so to enjoy herself with the company of her partner and those that are within her guild. Maybe her claims weren't that far off, after all, since she has the opportunity to see what Lamia Scale was all about. Sure, they had an alliance with the Knights, but AJ never had any idea what its like inside another guild, aside from the rowdy bunch that she previously managed during her brief stint as the Fairy Queen.
"Yooooo!" After parking her bike in a corner of the castle that wouldn't disrupt the pretty view that was the entire front lawn of the castle, the General barged in through the front door, her signature cheesy grin plastered across her lips. In all honesty, she hadn't really expected this party to kick off, since it was planned at such a random time on such a short notice, and not to mention the whole undead thing going on outside. Still, it was great to see Paris, and despite all the rowdiness, fanciness and foul mouthed-ness that the whole ambiance in this room had offered, the white haired woman was the only thing that caught her eyes. Along with the booze. There can never be enough booze.
