NAME: Blow Them Brains Out
LOCATION: Magnolia Town
CLIENT: AJ Styles
OBJECTIVE: Until we get the final verdict on what these things are, we can't risk having them infect more of us. Keep an eye out, and remember that the citizens come first. You are required to patrol around the town, and if a target is suspected to being one of the infected, don't hesitate. Follow all usual protocols, and.. above all things, be safe.

So they had to kill these zombies, they were even given swords so they can strike their head without too much work. ”This will be fun, all those bad zombie movies thought me so many things.” Slashing one of the zombies head she continue to walk, for this mission she had a partner, and she wasn’t so sure if she enjoyed this much killing as Alexis does. Stabbing and slashing and actually killing humans that were bitten, she didn’t even show the slightest hint of holding back, of feeling sorry for those that were bitten. She just continued to kill and kill and was very disappointed when a human was running and it had no bite marks on him.

She had to control herself to make sure that she doesn’t kill any uninfected humans, because if she does then her new room would be one in the prison, and she didn’t want to risk going back in there. She enjoyed being a rune knight and all the power that comes with it, that’s why she wanted to be careful, make sure that she doesn’t do any mistakes; since the main reason why she has a partner for this was for AJ to have an eye on Alexis while all these things happen.

”So how are you feeling? Scared? Excited that we get to kill so many zombies? Feeling like in a movie?” And she forgot the most important thing when it comes to meeting someone new; she had some manners even if it didn’t look like it. ”By the way, my name is Alexis; the last name is too complicated for even me to pronounce it so I’m not going to say it. Nice to work with you~”

It was completely bogus for her to be assigned to vanquishing undead in Magnolia instead of Shirotsume. Julia needed to be able to protect her sister. Now, miles of land separated them and she found herself deployed to liberate Magnolia of some of its undead taint. To make it worse, she was in the company of this former convict who she was ordered to babysit for the day. As a righteous individual, she believed this person should be in a prison cell, not representing the Rune Knight army. She was the exact reason why the Knight's public image was marred, and the reason why good men who risked their lives every single day had to live with being despised by the very people they're risking their lives for. "Keep your mouth shut, you mad dog. Conceiving bloodshed like a game, no different from a savage. Don't get too comfortable in my company because high command showered you with sympathy. If you do anything questionable, I'll put you down like the frenzied mutt you are." The blonde knight was clad in her usual white armor, and bore both a shield and sword. It was about time to get onto patrolling, and making sure the civs were safe. "And, it's Corporal Brooks to you."

This girl had some courage to talk like that, calling her a mad dog, a mutt and other things that you usually call a dog. It made Alexis chuckle, the girl actually thought that she was higher ranking that Alexis, but the thing that she didn’t knew was that they are both the same rank. Julianne is corporal and so is Alexis, so it was time for Alexis to inform her of that, because from what it looks like, the girl didn’t know that yet. Maybe she would escape the high and mighty attitude that the girl has.

”Listen here, bitch.” She stopped for a moment while she stabbed a zombie right through the head and then pushing it with her leg; she shook her sword a bit to get some of the disgusting blood of it; she didn’t want her blade too dirty. ”First of all, we are the same rank, so I can call you however I want, Jully. And second of all I can’t wait for a zombie to bite or scratch you, that means that this sword will go right through your beautiful head~” And just to show it as an example she stabbed a human that was running away from where all the chaos seemed to be. At first sight it would look like the human was okay, but he had a big bite mark on his leg.

”Kill them while they are still human, don’t be merciless and wait for them to turn into walkers, it would be just too cruel to do that” For now in this area things seemed peacefully, but they still had to go around the town and clear everything out. After that they would get paid and Alexis can go in a bar and either start a fight or arm wrestle some individuals; or even better, she could go back home where the girl chained to her bed waits.

"Look here, you indecent little cunt: you're a joke. The only person who supports you is that figurehead. Everybody else hates you - all of the Knights, and the Council included. You're a criminal that, based on an exploit in the system along with bias, were somehow allowed to bypass the psychological check, because of your laughably 'commendable expertise' that ranked you as the second lowest rank in the entire Rune Knight hierarchy. Use your brain; obviously I am temporarily of a higher authority than you, for I've been entrusted to babysit you for the day." The nonchalant bloodshed ensuing around her only served to irk the blonde Knight more. Which was why she swung her sword towards her ever so proximal 'ally', while she was occupied with another action - while she was targeting a fleeing civilian, and held the blade right next to her neck. "I'm not being disrespected by an overly privileged convict. What I should do? Arrest your ass, and then report this idiotic decision from our leader to the Council. Perhaps you can change my mind if you apologize to me, and address me by my proper title, before I remove your head from your fucking shoulders and end your ludicrous, murderous reign." Already, the paladin was preemptively preparing her magical power, eyes sharp with mettle.

This girl was talking way too much, and it was getting Alexis bored. She wanted to get away from this girl as fast as possible, she was giving Alexis headaches; and she didn’t enjoy that at all. ”So if I am the second lowest, doesn’t that make you the second lowest too? Just so you know, I started from the lowest rank, but I proved myself worthy and I proved that I can listen to orders so I got promoted.” And then she talked about the crime that she committed, thing that wasn’t actually a crime and it was proven thanks to the security cameras that were installed by the commander.

And it seems that Alexis has to remind Julianne that. ”And I don’t think you know that the crime you accuse me of, was actually self-defense. It was between me and the criminal, and I was stronger and managed to save my life, thing that was proven by the security cameras that are all over the place. Security cameras installed by our dear commander~” And she actually tried to threaten her, telling her that she would tell the council about this. Well Alexis would have reacted on the moment and attacked her, which would have happened if AJ didn’t make her promise that she would stay out of trouble.

But she still did a stabbing motion towards Julianne, but it wasn’t to hit her; it was to hit the zombie in the head that was just about to bite her. ”How about, instead of pointing that sword towards me, you pay more attention to your surroundings, because I could have let you be bitten now. And then I could have killed you. But I didn’t Corporal.” She just remained there and waited for the girl to point the sword somewhere else.

"That means nothing when you act with indifference about loss of life, take pleasure in killing, and act like bloodshed is a fun game in front of the very cameras you take so much refuge in." The blonde knight's lips curled in moderate amusement as the staggering corpse behind her, that she evidently heeded umpteen moments ago, was preemptively dispatched by her immediate pretentious convict. "So - have fun failing the next psychological check with that on cam." Because Julia knew well enough, that regardless of the authenticity of her crime, if she clearly required mental help, then she shouldn't be eligible to even be an authoritative figure responsible for the lives of other people. Julia did not want to be part of an army that catered to homicidal twats with attitudes, not only mocking her, but everything a knight stands for. And if that was going to be freely allowed without any consequence, and these were the type of people who were going to be in charge of the people, then Julia wanted no part of it, and she'd just retire home where her sister wanted her. A trail of flame went straight across the ground underneath Alexis, between her legs, and lit ablaze a zombie that was directly to her rear. Should Julia have done so a second later, the living corpse would have bitten clean into Alexis. The corpse was now ash. "How about, instead of disrespecting your co-workers, you pay more attention to your surroundings, because I could have let you be bitten now. And then I could have killed you. But I didn't, Corporal."

”Who wouldn’t have fun killing those things? I have fun saving the people of this town. I love doing it. You don’t like saving people?” A bit of twisting Julianne’s words to make her sound like she had something wrong with her. And making Alexis sound like a good rune knight that thinks at the safety of the humans in Magnolia. ”The more I kill these things, the more fun I have. Know why? Because the more I kill these things the more I know that the population of Magnolia will be safe. I think that’s what every rune knight should have fun in, right?”

Next she was surprised when she actually saved Alexis from a zombie, she could have let her be bitten, and to make things funnier she actually used the same line that Alexis did when she saved Julianne. This girl wasn’t so bad, but Alexis still wouldn’t invite her over to her place. Well that was because of two reasons. One was because he had Aki there, and the second one was because she still didn’t like her enough to do that. So for now they would have to deal with some kind of strange friendship.

She moved her sword away from Julianne and then offered her the right hand for a handshake. Just so all the problems between them would be solved and they can finally concentrate on doing this mission and make sure that they help everyone with supplies. ”Let’s make peace for now, we have to concentrate on this or we would be both dead if we continue to fight each other. And I have to say, you are not bad at all.”

"It's disrespectful to have violent fun with people's former loved ones and friends." Without so much as batting an eye the blonde was able to mend her words from the crudely contorted state, and through sweet concision, rebutted in such a manner where she essentially took Alexis's words, and twisted them in such a manner to demonize her even more. With all of the fodder the latter was feeding her, it wasn't particularly hard to do so. If what the girl said was true, the imprisoning wasn't authentic. However, she had a weird kink for killing things; regardless of the lifelessness, they were walking human corpses, and to not only kill them without so much of a second thought, one had to be either very seasoned or homicidal. And granted the delight she was taken in the moment, the only possible explanation was the latter. It wasn't the time to be fighting amongst one another, though. She scoffed. Awkwardly, she reached out to accept the handshake. However, due to her mistrust, she already had been preemptively preparing a defensive mechanism, just in case the woman had an ulterior motive with the gesture. She didn't like it, but for now, it was a logical truce. Whirling herself around, in one fell swoop she used substantially increased strength to slice diagonally through the top half of an immediate undead's torso, cutting the being in half and allowing it to fall onto the ground in two halves, sloshing copious amounts of blood which way and everywhere. She was angry. She was tired of all of this. And thanks to this outbreak, she had seen too much of the world at the ripe age of nineteen. "I'll have your back, if you have mine. We should move."

”Yes the fun in violence is not really my fault; I have fun in violence even if it’s done to me or to others because of my demon half. But I thought it would be obvious that I’m not entirely human since I have these things on my head.” With the free hand that was holding the sword she pointed towards the red horns that were on her head. ”It seems that everyone ignores them and doesn’t ask anything about them. It’s strange knowing that you humans are very curious beings.” Saying that she made herself sound not human at all; but she didn’t realize she did that so she didn’t correct herself.

Offering the girl the handshake and nodding with a smile on her face she said. ”Okay, glad we solved this, now all we have to do is protect each other and…” She made a slash with her sword to take care of the zombie that was cut in half but not yet killed. They had to go to the drug store and grab as many things as they can; this zone was already considered infected so they had to grab as many supplies as they can and return them to the humans that didn’t turn into walkers yet.

”We have to visit the pharmacy and get as many useful drugs as we can. These guys need all our help and we have to offer it.” With that said she started to walk towards the mentioned place. She kept an eye out for anything strange, she wouldn’t want to encounter a zombie and not be able to fight it. For now there were no humans and no zombies around, everything was calm.

"I've seen stranger than you. However, nothing's stranger than the decision to make a sadistic, unstable half-demon responsible for the lives of others." She couldn't even repeat that sentence in her mind without the very notion of appointing this woman as a knight a logical decision. Regardless of how harmonious they cooperated during this endeavor, nothing was going to shake the Knight from her decision to simply report this to the Council. If whoever appointed this half-demon could not properly pick their subordinates, then a higher up would do it for them. She figured it was the most humane thing someone with sanity could do. The blonde rolled her eyes; as if the corpse would be going far without the lower half of its body, better redundantly increase the mortality of the effort. With mention of going to a pharmacy, the knight utilized a brief bout of requip magic to return her blade to her personal storage dimension. As they'd supposedly reached a certain eye of the storm moment when it came to tranquility, Julia took the time to haul something else from her storage dimension. It appeared to be a stylized motorbike, which she quickly mounted. Grabbing the handles, she revved the engine, as she looked sharply towards Alexis. There was room enough on the back for a second passenger. "Get on."

She couldn’t do anything but sigh, she had to prove this girl that she is worthy of being a rune knight and that she could be trusted with the lives of some people. And what better mission to do so than this mission she was in. It was the perfect chance to prove that she is worthy of the position she received and the ones she would continue to receive, and she would abuse this chance as much as she can. So for now she would just have to listen to this girl, even if Alexis liked it or not.

Then the girl did something that Alexis didn’t expect at all. Julianne used her powers to summon a motorcycle. Now that was very cool and she would want to know how she did that. But before asking her she jumped behind her on the motorcycle putting the sword on her back. Wrapping her arms around Julianne’s waist, exactly like a lover would, she holds herself tight and waited for her to ride towards the direction of the drug store. ”So…Can you teach me how to do something like this? I mean summon a motorcycle, because it is very cool and could be very useful in missions that I have to travel a lot.”

And she wouldn’t need a parking spot so she could take out her motorcycle wherever she wants. But there was no reason to tell Julianne all the other things that didn’t matter at all. Alexis just told her the essentials so it would look like she just wants to use the power that she would be thought, if she decides to teach her how to summon a motorcycle.

As she felt arms coiled around her, she remained as stoical as ever. When she was posed with a question, she cocked a brow. What animosity had been present before seemed to have entirely diminished, and instead came about a desire to learn from her. Wow. As demonic as she claimed to be, she sure harbored within her typical human traits to ask things of someone they just verbally trashed at the drop of a hat. Starting up the bike, she began down the street, weaving with expert riding skill through any obstacles that got in her way. "Well, since I'm such a bitch, as you so humbly claimed, I'm afraid I'm too bitchy to teach you that. Sorry." Dimwit. As skilled as Julia assumed she thought she was with that not-very-majestic slab of metal, she was sure the half-breed was also unaware of the six different ways the blonde knight could kill her if she so pleased. But, that wouldn't be ideal for the mission nor the environment, or the civilians, so she would pass up on the opportunity and would remain pragmatic, leaving her with a small bout of spite instead of sating any curiosity or promising any undeserved favors. Because, really, she could care less about the feelings or opinions of someone dressed like they're employed to the nearest brothel.

Okay, now what she said came back to her and bit her hard. She could lose the chance to learn how to summon her own motorcycle, and that wouldn’t be such a nice thing. She wants one too and she would do anything to get her hands on that spell. That’s why she would go so low to even lower herself begging for Julianne’s help and for her forgiveness. Alexis didn’t like this at all, but she had to do it, she wanted this as much as she would like some candy right now. So here goes nothing, she has to do her best and see if it works.

For now her grip around Julianne’s waist got tighter, not enough to hurt her, but it was the same strength as a worried person would have around the waist of someone they care about. She took a deep breath and tried to be as honest as she could. ”Please forgive me for what I said…I was just angry because everybody judges me on how I am and what they think I did. They never look at me for all the good things I do, they know me only for bad stuff and nobody likes me. So I thought that I should give them a reason to not like me…And…I would do anything for you to teach me how to summon a motorcycle, anything you ask, doesn’t matter how much I have to humiliate myself for that.”

Well she was pretty desperate when it came to getting something she likes, but most of the things she said are very true, there was not even a bit of lie in her words, and now she was just waiting for Julianne’s reply; she was even close to crying now that she said everything that was on her heart.

With that, the half-breed either secured suspicion of bipolarity or mythomania. Within the immediate five seconds of her declining the request to teach her how to summon a motorized bike, she was venting her woes, worldly troubles, and most importantly, was begging for forgiveness, even going as far as to risk humiliation at Julianne's hand, if the blonde knight wished it. As commendable as an attempt it was, she held no obligatory desire to succumb to the begging, especially considering the authenticity of it was jeopardized by the unorthodox rate she went from one side of the spectrum, to the other, in contrast to her previous disposition, but cleverly and conveniently justified.

Julianne came to a stop in front of the local drug store slash whatever supply depot Alexis had mandated in their campaign to decelerate the undead outbreak. Cocking a brow, she spoke up in response. If there was one thing she was enjoying about this encounter, it was how easily she was able to obtain logical dominance. Then again, this dark haired knight didn't seem to have much of that at all.

"If you don't like the reactions you garner, don't do bad things; if you give them a reason not to like you, then you'll obviously continue to be unhappy. Alexis, this is common sense." A sigh escaped her as she momentarily turned her gaze towards the ground. "You need thick skin for this occupation. Your job is to arrest people when they do bad things, and people do a lot of that. They have family who, even if their loved ones are doing bad things, they won't care because of that relationship, and will demonize you anyway. There is no bad or evil, there is only sides. Show some respect, and you'll get it in return. You can't make everyone happy, but it makes no sense to deliberately try to make them unhappy, and then complain about it."

She shook her head. "That's my advice. All Knights get shit on by the public, but they deal with it and act decent anyway - because that's their job, to serve the public, not antagonize it."

She sighed; it seems that she misunderstood what Alexis meant. She didn’t care about the public as long as she does her job correctly. But she doesn’t like all the other rune knights talking behind her back, ignoring her and making fun of her. Just because she was in jail and because the commander freed her and made her a rune knight, they all thought that this was some kind of favor, or that the commander took bribe from her. And Alexis couldn’t take all those things, it was just too much for her to know that she has no friend there and everyone was against her.

And without realizing she just rested her head on Julianne’s back and changed the way her arms were wrapped around her waist into a more gentle way. ”I don’t care what the public says about me. The thing that affects me the most is that I have no friends at work; they all bad mouth me because I was in jail. They don’t want to believe the truth of what happened so they just made up all kinds of rumors. I wouldn’t be too bothered if the rumors were only about me, but they are bad mouthing the commander too. The one who trusted me and believed in me. And that’s what I can’t take, someone who showed me some kindness being bad mouthed like that.”

”Sorry for making you listen to this. But it felt good to just say it like that and take it off my heart.” She felt a bit better right now, but she was still sad because of all those things. The good part is that she isn’t crying; she won’t show that much weakness to Julianne, she must stay strong. ”The drug store should be around here. Just look for something called ‘Viclinique’, it should be written with big green letters right in front of the store.”
