Knock knock knock
Said the cast-bronze elegant door. The noise it created carried weight, echoing, loud, and obnoxious, gifting an annoyance to eardrums. Then, hand and hand, came a voice equally grating if regarding the fact the name declared, "Prince Yu." didn't care for being bothered. Instead of replying, he heaved a sigh, apprehending the fact it an encore was in the making. One more time, in that same order.
knock knock "Prince Jiaya! Are you in there?"
No doubt about it, Ju, as Beatrix nicked him, laid in the king sized bed, silk sheets caressing his fair skin. Pupils filled with aloofness ogled at the bronzed door embossed with lions. Why yes, the king of this jungle was in and the desire to laze about in his field, licking himself in the process; time for relaxation. After spending time with Beatrix, their last adventure entrusted exhaustion. Almost a day passed since then and the poor prince body remained anchored. However, there were no regrets, none at all. On the contrary, surely the two will butt heads again, side-by-side for another journey, sooner rather than later. The loot from the last quest, which mostly Trixy received, was worth the troubles and fun. The interaction between the two was pure gold as well. So why not?
Yu rolled to the other side of his bed, seemingly in the imprint of another person. The noise outside his door elevated. More guards cluttered together like fans waiting to get a peek at their favorite artist once he departs. "What is going on..." he whispered to himself, straining to sit up straight. The guards were antsy, not a good sign. Feeling of ease gradually drained, concern steadily superseding in its wake. Attention panned to the oval window, a single book on the window frame. A mystery in Jiaya's gut told him to move, give off that lazed complacent behind, because something was off.
A groan rumbled in his throat, almost a growl full of disappoint and irritation. Bare feet touched the red carpet, trimmed with gold colored lining. He tippy-toed to the window, observing outside, trying to pinpoint any suspicious activity that could help explain the situation without him involved. There was none. The guards capable of being seen at this distance were alive and well, chatting profusely while eying the grand doors.
Yu hopped into his boots, tightening them, finally accepting the role of authority. He had to make sense of the dawdling, chatting and bothering him. Upon slipping into his trench coat, he made way for the door, sprawling one side of the heavy set open. Despite glaring, a soft, yet commanding voice escaped his maw.
"What is going on here? No one on duty today." Eight wary eyes rested on him, now losing their tongue. "Well..." the tone adjusted, slightly peeved and commanding. They looked between each other, nodding, leaving Yu out of their quiet agreement.
"We allowed masked man enter the palace.
Jiaya, eyebrows rose, head turning to the left, ear poking out as if he didn't hear correctly. "You did what for whom? Why would --"
"He had the Kou seal...
Lips pursed. Yu stared passed the men, shaking his head slowly. Not many had that seal; really, only people of the royal gamily acquired it unless it was given by royalty. So assessing the situation wasn't difficult. Elementary dear, Watson. "You." Yu pointed at a single guard. "Go find Beatrix, met us in the left wing in that room. The rest follow me." He ordered, turning down the hall at once, ends of his coat flapping, adding to the dramatics.
By the time he arrived to his destination, there were nine guards behind him, yet Beatrix and the other were late. Knowing her, drinking may have been involved and the poor soul of a soldier lost to her cleavage.
A grimace devoured the distempered facade of Jiaya. Lips ticked as a hand gripped the handle of the door swinging it open forcefully. "Surround him." ordered the disgruntled man, plainly. They bundle of canon fodder did as they were told, weapons sharp and pointing at the man touching golden armor. Ju didn't want to waste time, so he dug right into it.
"You have the audacity to saunter into this palace after all these years, wearing a mask nonetheless? It does not work that way. You presumed wrong." Yu wandered in last, hands crossed protecting his chest, eye piercing the intruder. There were four more words that needed to be said before allowing this man to speak and then get carried away."Welcome home, little brother."
