A Princess And Her Empire? (Kou Family/OPEN) (Read 376 times)

[Zhu Yun Kou]

It was a quiet day, the sun was setting, but yet here the Princess of the Kou Empire rested upon her queen sized bed in a formatting of depression. Her right wrist was covering her eyes as the fluorescent portion of her hair could be seen laying over her wrist. Swiping her hair over her head she would give a slight sighing bellow of...sadness? No, it was more like it was filled with emptiness. Something was wrong with the Princess, but it was just no one knew for sure what was wrong with her, she was full of sadness and hadn't wish to speak with anyone of her family or royal guards, she just wanted to be alone.

Looking over toward her key holder where it held her celestial spirits she would notice that they had begun to glow for the moment as she would sit up slowly from her bed. In reference the Princess was wearing a short white nightgown, barefooted, and her hair let down flowing through the breeze of her opened balcony. Brushing the bang of her hair out of her eyes she would stand from her bed to slowly walk over toward the dresser to which where her keys were lied upon causing her to take a notice at one of them in specifics. It was the Gate of Maiden key that withheld Seraphiel. The Spirit Seraphiel would summon herself through the gate automatically as she would be resting on one knee behind the Princess causing her to jump in fright, "Nya~! S-Seraphiel-chan...you scared me," Seraphiel would stand being the same height as the Princess and appeared to look the same age as her. Seraphiel was wearing a blue flowing cape with a red one shoulder top, a blue mini skirt, with a pair of red knee-high boots.

Looking at Seraphiel she would place a smile upon her face as she would be holding her tiny little Moogle partner. Seraphiel was always the cutest one of her keys and was the most kindest, "Is everything alright, Princess?" Smiling sweetly at her the Princess would shake her head with a reply, "Just lonely, I guess..." The Princess was always alone and she didn't have anyone to speak with but her spirits, she wished she could summon all of them at the same time, but that was an impossibility. Seraphiel would look at the princess as she would give a small smile, "You're not alone, for you have us. It is okay, but I must return to the Spirit World for now Princess, please do feel better." And with a wave from her Moogle friend they were both gone.

Returning the key back to its holder the Princess would give a saddened sigh as she awaited for something to occur. Looking at herself in the mirror she would begin to comb her hair with a beautiful silver sparkling comb. And as she was combing her hair the Princess would begin to hum a song...a song of beauty and radiance that even her spirits could hear through their hearts. Things were quite peaceful....

The window slowly opened without disturbing the one who was singing, all she could see in the mirror was that the window was opening, but nobody was there in the reflection; so one could safely assume that the window opened because of the wind. But it wasn’t the wind that opened the window, it was just Avaria who had a hard time climbing to her window, it was a long way down and before pushing himself anymore he just waited a bit. Humans normally do this wait to take their breath, but even if Avaria was doing the same heavy breathing that a human does when faced with a long and hard effort, there was no need for him to do that, he didn’t need to breathe.

But his legs failed him and he felt from the window, with a loud noise inside the room. ”God dammit…It’s hard to climb here”. He didn’t want to get up yet, he just shifted his position so he could lean with his back against the wall and rest a bit. ”I need to learn how to fly faster.” He just stretched a little and searched in his pocket, he still had the small present in there for Zhu; it was a long time since he last saw her, about a month so he decided that he couldn’t come back empty handed, he had to get her something, that’s what ‘brothers’ usually do when they are away for a long time. And yes, Avaria considered himself her brother; even if she already had a family, he adopted her in his own mind and he is her only family. That’s why he always takes care of her and visits her, but he always has to hide during these visits so nobody else would see him.

He didn’t look in her direction, he just took the small box, which was wrapped like a present and with a bow on top of it, out from his pocket and looked at it. He was thinking what to say to her, well he already surprised her with the surprise visit and with the way he got it, since she couldn’t see his reflection. But he wasn’t afraid at all because of that, because she already knows everything about him, and the reason why he can enter this castle without being invited by someone is because Zhu is in it. And since he had some of her blood, biting her inner thigh since that’s the place where the blood flow is the best, and of course nobody could notice the bite marks there; because of that he didn’t need an invitation to enter the houses or places that she enters.

”I’m back.” That’s all that he thought of saying.

"Onii-san, Nii-sama...I wonder if they're getting along yet..." Looking at her mirror as she would do she would give a slight sigh not taking notice to the window that had seemed to be opening up itself from the outside, but she didn't bother to listen to the creaking noise of it as it could have possibly been the wind pushing it. Placing the tail of a ribbon within her mouth as she would hold her hair in a ponytail like form toward the right with her right hand and taking the ribbon the next tying her hair with it using her free hand Zhu Yun would begin to fix her hair up taking a look in the mirror giving a cute smile blushing, "Hehe, there we go! A beautiful Prin-,"suddenly something was heard behind her. Screaming with a sudden gasp it was something horrible...something unbelievable...something that she would never have thought to have seen again within a lifetime....it was....

”I’m back.” Avaria!!! It was Avaria, her long time best friend. It had been over a month since she last saw him! She would begin to form a superb smile upon her face as she would jump out of her seat rushing over to hug Avaria tightly with her bare arms, "Avaria! It's you!" Blushing with such a happy smile she would give a kind giggle as she was very happy to see Avaria in the midst of her room, "I've missed you so much! It feels like forever!"Yes, it was forever even if it was a month. Avaria was always coming and going out of her life, leaving her to feel alone yet again. Sure, she had Alduin, Jiaya, and Lan but all three of her older siblings were to busy to deal with her. Being alone wasn't fun for her and all she had were her spirits, but summoning them just to play and have a chattering time would drain her magic energy. She wasn't a strong Wizard nor was she a skilled fighter, but it didn't mean she couldn't handle her own self.

Gasping as she would jump off of Avaria unwrapping her arms around him, she would stand up heading back toward her dresser to pull something out. Reaching within the top portion of her dresser she would pull out a pink book. The book looked to be of a journal, well, diary in her case. She would rush on to her bed gesturing Avaria to come over and sit next to her, "So! While you were gone I've been doing some thinking...I want to go on Adventures! I've been writing down in this journal about Guilds and how they are functioned! They seem to be very amazing and look so fun!They're like a family...a real family," Looking in her journal mesmerized by her work she would give a sigh wishing to be like them. She wished that she could become a strong wizard and help people with her magic, "Also! Have you heard of the twelve zodiac keys?! They're amazing spirits just like mine, but stronger! I wish to collect them all one day and unite them as one! There are so many things I want to do...I want to save people, I want to be strong like Avaria...like Jiaya...like Alduin...and like Lan! I want to become a powerful mage, but...I don't know..." She had very well been rambling for quite sometime and it was quite funny, she hadn't seen Avaria for such a long time so it's only fair that she is allowed to tell him everything that has happened so far in his absence.

Zhu Yun would look at Avaria and would ask, "So enough about me and my silly wishes, what have you been up too since I last saw you?" Zhu Yun was quite curious in his adventures indeed.

Well everything went as expected, she was glad to see him back and of course he got a hug from her. She was so close to him that he wanted to just bite her and drink some blood, but even if she knows everything about him, he didn’t want to scare her. Because doing something like that so suddenly would scare anyone, so he would just wait for the right moment and after that he would ask her or it would be even better if she would tell him to drink some blood. But that’s not a possibility since he rarely drinks from her, most of the times he just drinks from blood packs that he keeps in the fridge.

She released him from her hug; he thought it would take longer since she is telling him that she missed him so much and that it feels like forever since she last saw him. But she had other plans for this, she wanted to tell him about all the things that she found out and that she wrote in her journal. With a smile on his face he got up and before walking to the bed he went to the door, he had to make sure that nobody disturbs them while he is here, because it would look very wrong for him to be in the room of a sixteen year old princess. But it’s not like he cares about this, he is not in the mood to fight and he wants to spend some peaceful time with his little sister.

As the door was closed he went towards the bed next to her, he leaned and let his back hit the soft bed, after that using his arms as support he crossed them under his head. ”I heard about all those things, and I think I even saw one of those keys, but it belonged to someone, otherwise I would have brought it to you. And that reminds me, I have a present for you.” He reached in his pocket with his right hand and took out the small pink box with a bow on it, the box didn’t look like it was wrapped by someone who knows how to do this, it was duct tape all over it, but lucky for him it was the transparent kind, otherwise it wouldn’t look so nice. In the box there was a silver bracelet, a present from one of his journeys.

”And if you want to go in adventures so much, why don’t you just move with me in Port Hargeon. Leave this life behind and become my little sister~”
