- - - - - That one letter was enough to drive a driven General into retreat when it came to her workload. Not that it would have taken her much to stop from the beginning, anyway, but alas, this was an oppotunity that she could not miss, given the fact that she hadn't seen that girl in such a long time. Of course, aside from the obvious anger that has stemmed from Shadow leaving without a single word, after all she's done for her, part of her was still relieved to hear that she's well and safe.
Soon enough, the loud noise of her signature motorcycle could be heard coming from the outside of the cafe, which would probably be sufficient to drive anything that's happening inside the cafe to an indefinite halt. Within the next minute or so, the redheaded girl could be seen entering through the front door, albeit not dressed in her familiar red uniform, but is instead wearing a random t-shirt and a pair of jeans with a white biker's jacket with the words 'Don't tread on me' printed on the back. For those who knew her, that was definitely not her motto, but it represented a part of her that, well, felt right at the time. She wasn't in a good mood, and as much as she wanted to try to maintain a low temper when she spoke to Shadow, she had to make it clear that what she did was wrong.
And so, upon her entry, the usual case where all the attention in the room suddenly shifted towards her, happened. Still, she didn't care. All she did was shift her gaze around the room, trying to locate the one she considered to be her younger adoptive sister. At first, there were no real signs of Shadow's presence, at least until she managed, with her all perceptiveness, to notice the weird eye that the girl had always possessed. The weird eye that currently belonged to a girl who was carelessly licking away at her greenish ice cream, whilst being talked to by one of the jocks who wasn't entirely happy that the girl he was talking to, wasn't paying him any attention at all.
Naturally, being the protective person that she was, AJ gently walked over to their table, and took a seat right in between the two people. Whether or not he recognizes her from all the interviews and announcements she's made on TV, it was entirely up to him. In a stern and direct tone, the girl spoke, her gaze not even fixed on anyone but a menu on the table. "Shouldn't you be headin' back to your other jock buddies, lover boy? They be waitin' for ya."
