Who was she, exactly? Some opposition of sorts? A vigilante? Or was there someone else here? Maybe someone that followed her? With the trigger of the alarm, and the fact that the guards were departing from the floor he was on, he figured that the cause wasn't him. Releasing a soft growl, he mentally yelled at himself to focus. His mission was still the same. It would just be harder than before. He wasn't a stranger to difficulty, though. Not all tasks like these always went smoothly. With that, improvisation would have to be his approach. He crept forward, sliding his back across the wall until he reached the junction. Looking down the corridors on both sides, he deduced that the two guards from earlier were the only ones within his vicinity. Recalling what he had seen of the building from the outside, and his steps so far, he deduced his general position, and started to make his way towards the staircase. The same direction where the two guards had ran to. If there really was an emergency, they could only be heading to two spots. Either to protect their employer, or to hunt down the intruder. With those possibilities in mind, he decided to take his chance and follow behind the pair, while keeping his presence unknown. He watched as the two men opened the door into the staircase and rushed in. Lowering his head slightly, he stared at the door. He wasn't sure which floor the man was, but these guards might just give him a clue. Or-- The door in front of him suddenly opened, and another guard emerged, looking back into the room. "Come on, man. We're gonna get fired if they see us slacking like thi--" The man stopped mid-speech as he noticed Skyle, the mage still standing where he was, simply staring. The two would lock gaze for a second, one with an expression of confusion and the other, frustration. Skyle cursed under his breathe. "INTR--" Before he could make any more noises, Skyle would burst forward, pushing himself off the wall, his right fist ramming straight into the man's open mouth. A hard punch, enough to send him reeling to the ground. Skyle rolled his eyes to the side, glancing into the room, where a pair of guards were, frozen in their spots. When the presence of the intruder finally registered into their head, they leapt into action, one of them pulling a baton off a table to his side, bringing it up. He sought to slam it into Skyle, but the assassin was faster. A right hand grabbed the open door and swung it inwards, smashing against the baton and parrying it back. The door would swing back open, allowing Skyle to leap forward and throw a hard superman punch to shove the man aside, clearing the way for the other guard who rammed his shoulder into Skyle's torso. He staggered back from the impact, hands coming down to grab onto the guard's shoulder. Skyle gritted his teeth, knowing that as long as this man was holding onto him, he wasn't going to be able to move. The first one of the trio had recovered by then, and had a baton in his hand as well. He charged at Skyle, and the man reacted quickly by snapping his left hand outwards, catching the man's wrist. Pulling it down, he used the man's own weapon against his comrade, smacking the end of the baton against the third male's head. Giving a pull of the wrist, then, he allowed the man to run into the door way, before bringing his knee up, ramming it into the grappling male's stomach. Leaning forward, he would then wrap an arm around the man's head, and throw both of his legs forward, sending himself falling back. And he would slam the top of the man's head into the floor, knocking him out. One more. Skyle pushed the man off him, and recovered to his feet, just as the second started to approach him again. A thrust with his baton, aimed towards Skyle's neck. He simply leaned sidewards, getting out of harm's way, before swinging his left arm up and coiling it around the man's outstretched arm. A right fist would come forward, landing upon the guard's ribs, twice, thrice, before cupping over the man's face. Using what leverage he had obtained over the male, he spun the guard around and rammed him into the wall, pinning him in place. He stared straight into the guard's eyes, tightening his grip on the man's jaw, his palm over his lips to stop him from screaming. "Where's your boss?" He asked simply. Why bother searching for the man, when he could just ask these buffoons where he was, eh? He'd handle the other intruder later. He had his own affairs to handle first. LAIKA OF GS!
