"Reckon you just found this place by coincidence. Ain't no shame in that. We ain't the most promoted jazz bar in town, anyway. Hell, all we've got are a few regulars and their friends. And if we're lucky, we'd get a few more on open mic nights." Skyle blinked, a twinkle in his eyes coming about the moment the last few words registered into his head. To further emphasise on his interest, he would repeat them as well. "Open mic nights?" He blinked, before glancing around the bar. It was then that he found the stage, elevated about two steps from the floor, with a mic and a small stool located in the center. Had he ever sung before? Well, he was starting to get to it, having being newly introduced to the concept of enjoying music, but he had never performed before. He scoffed at the idea, yet at the same time, he found himself interested by it. Should he? "Gimme one more, please." "Usually, you'd ask me for five more of these before you leave, Lea." "... Fuck you, I'm late." The conversation would carry on beside him, and Skyle would turn to the female once again. She was one of the regulars he talked about, wasn't she? He wouldn't have said that if she wasn't. Lea, huh? Skyle turned back towards his drink, his mind still on about that open mic. With that, he threw back his next drink, before setting the glass down upon the table. As he did, he released a deep heavy sigh, a wide grin on his face. He had nothing else better to do anyway, and if it could help drive his mind away from his current worries, he wouldn't mind throwing himself out into the spotlight like that. With that, he pointed towards the mic with his thumb, as he swung it over his shoulder. "Do you mind?""Oh, feel free," the bartender replied simply, and Skyle's grin widened. To hell with everything. Pushing himself off the seat, he would glance up at the big man. "Got a guitar?" He nodded his head, before jerking it towards the side of the stage. And there, leaning against the wall, was the item in question. Skyle nodded his head in confirmation, before walking over towards it. Picking it up in his hand, he would take a deep breathe, before stepping up onto the stage. Seating himself upon the stool, he would rest the body of the guitar on his thighs, his hands finding the respective parts of the guitar. Clearing his throat, then, he would kick off his little performance. If it wasn't for the alcohol and his troubles, he wouldn't be doing this in the first place. And with that, he began his song. LAIKA OF GS!
