The outfit

To say that Ellie had felt a little out of place when he had told her that he had to do this was an understatement. She wanted to follow him anywhere and everywhere, because that was what couples did, for starters. Deeper than that, she was sure that she loved him unconditionally. But… this was a huge step for him in finding his sister, and she felt guilty for interfering. Perhaps if she had never arrived here in Magnolia, Kai would have already gone to find his twin, and she wouldn’t have hindered his search. But now they were serious, they were agreed on doing this, there was no way for her to go back. Not that she’d ever want to, of course. Since being with Kai, and becoming close to him on a much more physical level, she realised that she would have to remain with him. She couldn’t imagine her life without him, it seemed.

That was why the pair of them were packing up down in their basement room of the guild, preparing to leave. She wasn’t sure where they were going or why, but they were leaving alright. She was used to travelling, but had started to enjoy her time spent in the Fairy Tail guild. She had never ended up joining, and in spite of that, she was welcomed as if she was a lifelong member. Everybody was kind to her, and everyone adored the relationship she and Kai shared. They told her of how he had been so grumpy all the time when he first joined, and how she had lightened him up a great deal. And understandably, they were sad to see the young couple leave.

It had been slightly over two weeks since they had themselves to one another, taking their relationship that extra step forward in seriousness. This wasn’t just some casual fling, it held a huge, deep meaning to Ellie. And that was saying something coming from the girl that struggled with commitment issues before all of this transpired, before she met Kai. Every new day was like falling in love all over again, and it made her realise how much of a special relationship she had, and how lucky she was to have found such a guy in amongst the other idiotic cheaters in the world. She was currently glancing through her packed bags, making sure that she wouldn’t leave anything behind. She stood with her hands placed on her hips, a small thoughtful frown on her face while she ran through all of her belongings in her mind. Clothes were packed neatly in the rucksack sat directly in front of her. On top of them, her shoes had been stuffed in places so they would fit. All her other toiletries took residence in this bag too, which made it rather full, to the point that she was scared that the straps would break while she was travelling. That was a bridge she would have to cross when she came to it.

The smaller shoulder bag beside it was packed with money and other small things that she would need while travelling. Numerous other bags were stuffed full of her belongings, more clothes and shoes (probably made worse with her obsession when it came to wearing boots). After deciding that everything was packed away and she felt ready, she nodded to herself and glanced around the room, wondering where Kai had gotten to. She took her eyes off him for one moment… “Honey?" She called in the quiet basement room, wondering if he had gone into the bathroom or something. With a small shrug, she pushed her bags aside and seated herself on their bed, folding her hands together in her lap while she waited for her boyfriend to appear, wherever he had gone. Today she had chosen quite casual clothing, because she would need to be comfortable while travelling. Her attire consisted of a loose white shirt patterned with horizontal black straps that cropped above her stomach and hung down the left side slightly, a pair of dip-dyed purple shorts studded with silver embellishments and very colourful floral sneakers. Comfortable, and fashionable. Her long blonde locks were gathered up and put into a high ponytail, with a few wispy bangs framing her face.
