The sight was familiar to him, even though he hadn't entered this state very often. The aura that surrounded his body was his Solar Aegis, his most powerful supportive magic for himself, used to supplement his abilities. All around his body, magical energy began to pour out, and heated the air around him, withering the plants near his feet. The dense energy forced the earth beneath his sink, creating impressions of his feet into the rock. He took another step forward, and as he sank his foot down, the earth crumbled upon itself again.
It's a good thing the guild master took off his coat, because this prolonged use of his buff surrounded his body with heat, causing him to sweat. Beads began to form across his face, and rolled down as Kensei tried to sustain the aura. He continued to try and improve his abilities. He clenched his fist as he began to eye some of the trees in the area. His attention caught one, and he leaped into the air and drove his fist into the hard wood. The tree began to splinter as it made contact with his fist, and Kensei was driven a bit back by the force. Landing on his feet, he looked to examine the damage.
The tree was separated from its trunk. The trunk had come up through part of the ground, and its roots which were hidden within the ground were completely exposed. The crown of the tree was lying on the ground, with part of the tree smoldering from the explosion. Near the impact zone, there were thousands of splinters across the forest, all of them blackened, and some were propelled with such force that they had struck tree behind them, and burrowed part way through the wood. Kensei wondered what it would be like if he hadn't held back? "Crushing Phoenix!"
The next tree splintered only at its top, and broke into two large pieces. The trunk and roots were quickly uprooted, and collided with two trees behind the blast. These trees were uprooted, and blackened. The crown of the tree was in the air for what seemed like a few seconds, but he noticed that most of the wood had once again splintered into the ground. Then it seemed to rain black ash all across the forest. What was once green leaves were now blackened shreds.
He made his way out, his Aegis still active, until the trees that were previously struck began to fall. Not wanting to cause any more damage, he moved underneath the trees and held his hand out, palm facing the trees, "Regal Disassemble!". The golden net like structure formed from the spell seemed to wrap around both of the trees, and continued to divide them until they were like dust, and blown across from the gentle breeze. Kensei then knelt from a bit of exhaustion. His Aegis had faded, and he noticed a few cuts and minor bruises from all of the training. He grabbed his coat and placed it back on, before returning to Lamia to wrap his hands up.
