Such a situation would draw one into a panic, one would think, but no. Nago quickly gathered himself, had yet to attain the opportunity to make any sort of comment. He wouldn’t have regardless. The scene rapidly unfolding before him possessed a certain hilarity about it – to him, at least. Such was evident as the boy started into a chuckle as the green blob scurried about the ground all around them, screaming all the while. It darted towards others who, until then, were simply minding their own business. They leapt back, drew a leg up in an effort to, maybe, shield them from it possibly jumping onto them. It was no surprise to see a few in their surrounding run either the way they were heading or in the opposite.
There was one individual still present. He asked, rather distressed, what, exactly, was the thing scurrying all about. By then, it was obvious to anybody that Nago found the whole situation funny, but between chuckles, he supplied an answer. “A Banshee Slime,” was his response. It was loud, but he’d grown accustomed to it – somewhat – rather, he knew what to expect. It was certainly no sweet lullaby. His warning did not help to quell the laughter fit Nago’d settled into. “By all means!” he replied. He, honestly, didn’t want to go through the trouble himself. Actually, unless something unforeseen developed, he wouldn’t have to. His job of getting it out of the residence of an elderly couple was complete. If it, say, found its way back there, he’d be long gone and paid all the same. Perhaps it was such realizations that made his laughter so hearty.
It wasn’t long before the slime decided to attempt leaping up onto people. Nago was first, actually, who quickly pried and tossed it, not quite meaning to, at Bunji. “Oh! Incoming!” Nago called after it.
