HAIR Skaldi's hair is dirty blond, worn in a messy mane reaching somewhat past shoulder-length. PHYSICAL Skaldi stands at a height of 6'1" and weighs 176lbs. His overall build is fairly lean, but quite well-muscled. He tends to show preference to loose clothing that allows him to move around freely. Generally, he dresses in jeans and simple t-shirts bearing band logos or the Fairy Tail guild symbol, topped by a black leather jacket. In addition, he has procured a more battle-ready set of clothing, consisting of a suit of sturdy iron plate and chainmail armor worn over leather garments, tough enough to afford him decent protection while still being sufficiently light to allow him to move around easily. He generally wears a rich red red cloak over it, held in place by a pair of bronze shoulder-guards, with a tabard of matching color that bears the Fairy Tail emblem in blue. Cheerful - As turbulent as his life has been in recent years, it hasn't managed to erode the essential element of Skaldi's personality, which is his basically optimistic nature. Skaldi greets every new day with his trademark watermelon grin, and tries to spread goodwill around as much as he can.
Adventurous - Skaldi has an irrepressible love for adventure and excitement. He is a very active individual, and while he knows to treasure moments of tranquility, he is rarely happier than when he is sharing an adventure with his friends and comrades.
Determined - Though he was always headstrong and wilful to begin with, several years of trials and tribulations have left Skaldi with a will of iron. He is not one to bend easily in the face of opposition, full-heartedly pursuing his own aspirations and supporting the people he cares for, and will see any ordeal through to the end.
Modest - Though Skaldi is very aware of his own power and influence as a mage and a Guild Master, his approach to the matter is very level-headed and down-to-earth. He never tries to show off in earnest unless it's requested of him or simply all in good fun, and avoids pulling rank on his subordinates unless he absolutely has to.
Compassionate - Skaldi is highly prone to empathising with other people and trying to help them with their problems. He has very few prejudices and is generally accepting of everyone he meets no matter what oddities they exhibit. Having grown out of his black-and-white view of the world long ago, he understands that there is good (and bad) in everyone, and always tries to see the best in people, which sometimes leads him to extend his compassion to those who might be considered his enemies.
Responsible - Skaldi is a thoughtful, considerate man, thoroughly aware of the responsibilities he bears and what is expected of him. As such, he will always strive to act in the best interests of the people who look up to him, and cuts himself very little slack when it comes to his duties as Guild Master.
Protective - Skaldi treasures his friends and loved ones above everything else, and it shows a lot in his general demeanour towards them. Having sustained a number of losses in the past, he is determined to do whatever it takes to keep those close to him from harm, even if it means he has to take the bullet in their place.
NEGATIVE
Jaded - Though he will probably never be much of a weary cynic, Skaldi's experiences so far have had an impact on his youthful idealism. Though he tries to maintain an optimistic outlook and a stable moral compass, he has a keen understanding of the depths to which people are capable of sinking, and is no stranger to feeling anger and depression about the state of the world.
Reckless - Skaldi has very little regard for his personal safety, particularly where the people he cares for are concerned. While he will do anything in his power to prevent his friends, comrades and family from coming to harm, the cost more often than not will fall squarely upon him, and when it does he will be more than happy to pay it.
Self-castigating - While largely untroubled by lack of confidence and feelings of inferiority, Skaldi is more or less constantly keeping an eye on himself to make sure he doesn't slip up when it comes to his responsibilities, and takes his own mistakes very seriously.
Guileless - Skaldi may have shed his youthful naiveté, but while he is conscious of others' capacity for trickery and deception, he refuses to engage in such practices himself. He makes a point of being earnest and straightforward, which can put him at a disadvantage against opponents seeking to take advantage of his honesty.
Tenderhearted - Though he has gotten a lot better at keeping his emotions in check, and developed a better understanding of the world in general, Skaldi is still affected by much of the cruelty and wilful evil he witnesses in his work as a high-ranking mage. It may not be to such an extreme degree, but it still hurts him.
Wrathful - Skaldi has learned to keep a cool head and stay focused when under provocation. However, everyone has their breaking point, a sensitive spot which, when struck, will result in the whole dam bursting. Skaldi's breaking point as his friends and comrades, his 'family', and anyone who harms them or seeks to harm had best be prepared to face the full force of his rage.
Animalistic - Skaldi is for all intents and appearances human, but in recent years he has come to learn that his "true" nature is anything but. These days, Skaldi is constantly watching himself to make sure the bestial part of himself doesn't leak into his behaviour, but he still subconsciously manifests some animalistic traits, and when pushed hard in battle he may grow incredibly brutal.

When Skaldi casts this spell, his body becomes engulfed in a faint blue aura, and occasional lashes of static lightning will dance across his limbs and torso. When this spell is active, Skaldi is able to reach a maximum jump height of 42 feet and a maximum running speed of 80mph. He is also able to lift his own weight +700 lbs, or throw half his own weight +700lbs. DURATION: 5 turns COOLDOWN: 2 turns ABILITY NAME: Thundaga Breaker ABILITY RANK: SS ABILITY TYPE/PINNED: Elemental: Lightning ABILITY DESCRIPTION: Thundaga Breaker allows Skaldi to pack raw lightning magic into his limbs, increasing his destructive capabilities. A dim blue glow begins to emanate from his lower legs and arms, accompanied by the occasional lash of static lightning. While under the effect of this spell, any physical blows Skaldi deals (via punches, kicks, headbutts etc.) will inflict SS-class blunt and burn damage. The ability also carries a minor ailment component. When Skaldi lands a blow on an opponent while this ability is active, a small electrical current will be transmitted into their body, disrupting the balance of electrolytes at a cellular level and impairing muscle contraction. This results in major cramps and minor spasms for the duration of the next two posts. DURATION: 5 turns COOLDOWN: 2 turns ABILITY NAME: Thunderhorn Rauta ABILITY RANK: SS ABILITY TYPE/PINNED: Elemental: Lightning ABILITY DESCRIPTION: Skaldi channels his raw lightning magic into a Make ability, allowing him to shape weapons out of lightning, including swords, spears, axes, and maces. He is able to create dual wielding makes, such as twin blades. This does not include ranged weapons or shields. Bladed weapons, such as swords, axes and spears, deal SS-class burns and cuts, whereas blunt weapons, such as maces and hammers, deal SS-class burns and blunt damage bruising. All weapons have have maximum dimensions of 10 feet, and operate on the same cool-down; i.e. if Skaldi creates a sword of lightning, he must wait through the cooldown before creating an axe of lightning. DURATION: 5 turns COOLDOWN: 2 turns ABILITY NAME: Fairy Tlaloc ABILITY RANK: SS ABILITY TYPE/PINNED: Elemental: Lightning ABILITY DESCRIPTION: In what is arguably his most devastating attack, Skaldi generates raw magical lightning from his own body and molds it into a powerful projectile by shepherding it towards a singular point within a radius of 10 feet from himself. The mass of lightning will quickly coalesce into the circular form of a tiny, etheral pixie, no larger than a butterfly. Skaldi can choose to create anywhere between 1 and 10 of these pixie-like projectiles, dividing the power of the spell between them. He is able to maintain their presence for a maximum uptime of 5 turns - if any of the pixies have not been detonated by the end of that time the energy that has been packed into them will simply return to his own magic pool. When 'fired', the projectiles are able to move freely within a certain range of Skaldi, according to the number of projectiles that have been created. They fly at a maximum speed of 80mph up to a maximum range of 200 feet, and upon detonating will create an explosion up to 30 feet in diameter, inflicting SS-class burning and blunt damage. Note that in order to counter an SS-class attack, or penetrate an SS-class spell, Skaldi will need to attack using all his created projectiles - while in greater numbers they are capable of causing more widespread damage, as the power in them grows increasingly divided, they each become able to only block and penetrate spells of a lower rank.
