A lone figure stood in the basement of the Fairy Tail guild hall, a tall white-haired man who, despite being a part of Fairy Tail, didn't go the extremes that were often expected of the guild, that was to say, he didn't often destroy things or get as wild as others in the guild. But, tonight might be different. Tonight was the official announcement of the newest guild master, Skaldi Taliesin. Though, everyone already knew he was guild master, it just hadn't been formally announced. Anyway, there was to be a party, and a Fairy Tail party was by definition, rowdy, so he wouldn't be able to stay in his room without being driven mad by the noise that would transfer. So, Kai was all dressed, clothed in his leather armor, and ready to attend.
Above, he heard the sound of the doors being thrown open, so, the party was starting. He couldn't stay down here for much longer, so he might as well go up and face the inevitable. He grinned and shook his head dismissively, here he would be able to meet all the guild members, and speak with those who he already knew, it was likely that Egrasiya would be there, he hadn't really talked to her since that night where the girl had come to call at 3 a.m. so he hoped to see her this evening.
Heading up the short flight of stairs to the ground floor, Kai could already see just how much alcohol there was, every table has four or five bottles, the bar had barrels of the stuff, and there was bound to be even more somewhere, probably in the basement. He wasn't much of a drinker, but could hold his liquor when needed, and that was a skill that might just be required tonight if he was to enjoy himself. He still felt a pang in his chest at the thought of himself being here, enjoying a party when his sister was off, somewhere unknown. But, he really couldn't just go off and search for her alone, he needed allies, and for that, he needed to know just who was in the guild. He needed to find the people who could work with and help him. He needed a team.
He could already see a few people outside the guild, and foremost among them was the very witch who he had hoped to see, Egrasiya. Though they were only acquaintances, Kai figured they could chat at least a little, and he might get to know her better and vice-versa. Walking slowly to give her and others time to enter, Kai made his way across the room towards Egrasiya, trying to catch her eye.
