The Celestial Ring
Despite its name, the celestial ring is a somewhat shadowy organization. It is however, by no means downright evil, but instead a sort of brotherhood that is, ultimately, after gathering so much power that it can achieve apotheoses, ascension. The appearance of dungeons and Djinns is, for them, a proof that there are even more astounding secrets to be uncovered, as described in the scrolls from the hidden library of Khezan. That place is also the origin of the brotherhood, and also of its practices, designed to ensure absolute secrecy.
All members of the celestial ring are branded with a sign, which is in a way similar to a guildmark, but more of a self-inflicted curse. It causes a strong pain, when the wearer is either trying to do anything to harm another member, or when one of them is killed. The ring is no organization to be trifled, after all, and next to secrecy and the pursuit of arcane power, it is defined by revenge as its strongest trait. Unless the murder of one of their own is avenged, all the pain will never fully vanish.
Due to this, membership is not given freely, and there hardly exist expendable members – it takes at least two consenting members to initiate another, and even then, they usually only recruit people with influence, knowledge, or raw power. Networking, so to say, and that is one of the biggest advantages of the ring, there is almost always someone who could at least be of some assistance, who could help.
That is the general concept I have so far, if others want to join, we can discuss where to go from that, and what the mark would actually look like. I do have some ideas in mind, but I wanna see if anyone cares first:P
Note: This is in no way a guild or a usergroup, so being in some other organization is not only possible, but by the ring's very nature even encouraged.
