What a strange note to wake up to. Skaldi still wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. It seemed he had hardly been promoted to the position of Guild Master and already he was being challenged for his position by rookies. Skaldi wasn't entirely sure that was how the whole Guild Master thing worked, at least not for Light Guilds, but he couldn't exactly fault the person who had penned the message for having ambition. In fact, had they not beat him to it, Skaldi would probably have begun to actively encourage members to challenge him for his position. On the one hand this would keep him on his toes and ensure he did the best he could with the job he had in hand. On the other, it would give his wizards something to aspire towards.
In contrast to Nihlus' rather formal attire, Skaldi had once again opted for a pretty relaxed look. He didn't look particularly like a Guild Master in his faded jeans and sleeveless black shirt which exposed his bare, tattood arms. His demeanour, however, ought to leave no doubt as to his true power and position. After sorting out some stuff in his own head, Skaldi was slowly starting to relax into his newfound authority - not relax in the sense that he was starting to rest on his laurels but in the sense that he was starting to feel comfortable and confident with it. He seemed to radiate a sense of cool purpose as he entered the guild hall.
To his surprise, it was entirely empty save for one man. Presumably the rest of the membership were in on what was about to go down, and had been told to clear out? Which could only mean that the person standing before him was the would-be-challenger. Skaldi blinked at the young man for a few seconds, smiled, and withdrew a folded piece of paper from a back pocket. "I believe there's someone in here who wants to... Er..." Skaldi unfolded the note, held it at arm's length, squinted, and read out: "'Kick my teeth so far down my throat I'll be able to chew with my ass.'"
He let that sentence hang in the air for a few moments. That was definitely pretty strong language for anyone to use towards their Guild Master. If the boy was feeling at all nervous, Skaldi would let him stew in it for a few seconds. Then he grinned, breaking the tension. "I do like to see ambition in my wizards." He peered at the note once more. "Is Mister... I can't read this part clearly... Nullus Gildart in the house?" Skaldi crumpled up the piece of paper, and tossed it expertly towards the nearest waste basket. It was a clean shot. "I believe you'll be wanting to take this outside."
