Cynisca was the best master in Alicia’s opinion. She was nice, cute, had a very big heart and Alicia enjoyed listening to her and serving her. You could say she considered herself lucky. That’s why whenever she wanted to do something, or eat something new or rare, Alicia would do her best to find that thing and to satisfy her master’s desire, no matter how much it took or what it took for her to do so. She wanted to make Cynisca happy and to prove that she was the best maid from the whole team of maids that she had at the castle.

Right now she was in Magnolia’s market, searching for some fruits that she heard you can find only here, some fruits that her master read about and she wanted to eat them. That’s why without telling her she went shopping and came here. The fruits would have been easy to find, since it wasn’t so hard to notice them. They were a yellow kind of fruit, just like a banana when it came to color, but the special thing about it that made it distinguishable from other fruits was the strange shape it had. It had the shape of a star. Hence why it had the name of star fruit.

Alicia read about it too after she heard that her master wanted to eat something like that, she tried to find how to combine it with other fruits and so she found some fruit salad recipes. She had other fruits in her bag and ingredients like whip cream in order to make the perfect salad for her master. But to Alicia’s disappointment she still couldn’t find the main fruit of the salad, the star of the salad. Got it? Star of the salad? Shape of the fruit that looks like a star? Well Alicia got it and she found it funny.

Storm was in the marketplace. She was in her usual light pink minidress and some ankle length white boots. She even got to have a purse of her own, courtesy of her one and only Mistress. Not only was she a merciful Mistress, she was a kind one, even considering her well being. It wasn't something Storm was used to. There was a sense of mutuality in that they took care of each other. Anyway. She wanted to make her as happy as possible. Mistress enjoyed spicy foods, so she was out looking for some chili peppers. Storm noted her satisfaction when she was treated to her curry. While she would be fine with recreating the dish, this time she wanted to try a chili, and see how she enjoyed that.

That was exactly where the pink haired young lady was. She was in the fruit and vegetable section sifting through the hottest peppers the market offered. Some of them were imposing. It would be in her best interests to keep away from the ones that were too hot. As in, the kind that left anyone in actual pain for a good twenty minutes, and then agony for the remainder of the day, because they happened to nibble the tip of it. Obviously, she didn't want to inconvenience her Mistress with such anguish.

Why was it so hard to find a fruit that would surely jump in your eyes when you see it? Well she won’t give up, not until she finds that fruit and when she gets back to the castle she would make the perfect salad for her master to enjoy during a hot day like this one. She would surely get praised after she would do that, and Alicia enjoyed praises so much, it made her very happy and she was the happiest in the world when those praises were from her favorite master. The green haired girl that bought her and gave her such a nice maid outfit. She didn’t ask for any other clothes, just more copies of this outfit.

She liked them so much because they were the first present she ever received, and it was precious to her. And she didn’t want anything else from Cynisca; this was all that she needed, well this outfit and the praises of course. Looking around for the fruit she noticed someone that she didn’t thought she would see anymore. A slave that was with her before Alicia was bought by royalty. Either she was set free or she found a master too. Alicia wanted to go talk to her and see how she is, she was always worried about her, always being filled with the fear that someone as innocent as her would end up in the wrong hands.

That’s why she went behind her and poked her shoulder a few times, she didn’t say anything, and she just waited for her to turn around so Alicia can give her a hug.

Subsequent poking drew her attention to a fated embrace. An approximate albinistic party abruptly hugged her while she was scrutinizing a pair of Thai peppers. Her eyes momentarily widened in surprise and confusion. She did not reciprocate the hold. There was an air of familiarity about the individual. If her memory served her well, it was another slave. Without binds or jurisdiction, she assumed she had been liberated and or bought by someone. It seemed that her spicy endeavor was going to have to be postponed. On this occasion, she didn't mind too much.

She must have been there on an errand. Their surroundings increased the likelihood of it concerning food. Storm's attention flickered towards a digital clock up on a distant wall and noted the time. The woman was intending on keeping track of it to prevent this encounter from harming her punctuality. Still, her honed etiquette begged of her a verbal response to the gesture.

"Ah - hello there."

”Hey there~ Long time no see~” She seemed okay, and that made Alicia very glad, she thought of this girl as a little sister while they were both at the same master, she kind of loved taking care of her and that’s why she was so worried about her. But she seems healthy, she has no abuse marks, but Alicia didn’t know how happy she was, and that was something she wants to find out. Asking her directly if she is happy with her new master is not something Alicia should do, she should just start talking to her and then bring that subject up, and that would be the best thing to do at the moment.

Since she is here too, means that she is searching for some food to buy, which could be the current subject for discussion. She let her go from the hug and with a smile on her face she asked. ”Are you here to buy food for yourself or someone else?” With the second part of the question she would find if the girl is either free or has a master, after that the talk would move on to where Alicia wants it to.

It was always rare seeing affection from other slaves, even ex-slaves potentially, but I guess some people where warmer due to the mutuality in the suffering endured. It wasn't my area to judge.

Again, my gaze settled upon the chili peppers. They were ripe, and just from looking at them I could decipher their sheer spiciness tinged with a touch of fruitiness. I prided myself in my unparallel cooking expertise, and was confident I would pick something satisfactory today.

The curiosity of my immediate company inflated substantially. It was then I again briefly regarded her, acknowledging the small talk I was supposedly fated to engage in. An odd experience. Ironically, after I was bought and was officially established as someone's slave, I was becoming more of a person than when I wasn't.

"For myself, and for another." After all, Mistress actually cared for my well being, and preferred that I ate with her, instead of eating the bare minimum I would have been provided back when I was under the jurisdiction of the slavemasters back in Balbadd.

Seems that she was okay, from her words Alicia could understand right away that Storm was okay. From her words Alicia found out that she is fed like a normal person and it could seem that her new master is threating her well. That made Alicia very happy and she couldn’t help but let a smile appear on her face, a smile that was then followed by a small chuckled. She was used with Storm not talking too much, that’s how she was back in the days when they were both slaves under the same slave master. But now, she talked a bit more, it wasn’t just the nods and shakes she used back when they were together.

”I’m glad you are okay, and glad to hear that you have a nice master. It makes me feel better to know that you are safe and that you don’t have a master that threats you badly. Because if that was the case I swear I would have followed you to your master and took care of him or her. After that I would have brought you along with me.” Alicia couldn’t help it, even if Storm surely was older than her when it came to when they were born, Alicia’s motherly instincts still kicked in when it came to her, and she would do anything to know that her ‘child’ is safe.

”If something bad ever happens, and you need help to escape from your master, just come around the market and when you find me tell me everything. I’ll make sure that you won’t be unhappy.”
