When the girl stepped onto the platform, Bunji wrapped an arm around her waist pulling her in close. His other hand grabbed hold of the lever, “Hold on” he warned as he pulled back on the lever muscles tensing, and flexing as he exerted the force necessary to move said device. With a loud clink & clang the floor beneath their feet started shaking, and pushing upwards, causing the couple to ascend up to the stage floor. Bunji quickly covered Apri’s eyes before they reached the top, once the machine stopped a loud click signaled it was securely in place, removing his gloved hand from her eyes Bunji would allow her guldens to gaze at the theater from a view that only the actors who performed were able to do so. “A whole new feeling huh?” he asked her glancing over at her, and then releasing her as he stepped forward arms spread apart, “The theater is usually crowd with tons of people” he explained as he reached the edge of the theater, and skillfully spun on the tips of his boots taking in the sensation that the stage gave to those who stood upon it. Stopping with his entire body now facing April, he chuckled to her “I prefer it like this, we are under the spotlight it automatically turns on when the platform ascends up, and secures into place” he explained walking over to her hands reaching out for the girl.
“Now I do believe you owe me a dance miss” he commented to her as he clapped his hands together, when he did a soft melody would start playing, it would echo in the empty theater room. It was obvious he had been here many times before to have learned the in and outs of this place, with the song playing, and still some time to spare he would take his partners hands. Bunji would grab hold of her right hand, and his left arm would wrap around her waist with a gentle smile, Bunji led April around as he started a finely choreographed dance with the girl. “Don’t laugh at me for this ok?” he said to the girl as he continued to lead the dance hopefully she would be able to follow along with no problem, “I used to come here, and well…” he paused for a moment feeling slightly embarrassed at what he was about to admit, “I used to practice dancing by myself…Because I always remember how you told me when we were young, that I sucked at dancing” he said with a chuckle as he continued to dance with the girl.
It was sort of sad to admit that he came here alone, and practiced his dance moves with an invisible partner, but he could not help it back then he was hurt, and it helped him cope with losing April when he was in here dancing by himself. However it did not compare to dancing with the actually physical April, whom he once again was tied into a relationship with her, a reality that was no longer just a thought of a maybe, or a memory of a time that once was. Instead it was the actual fact of his life, suddenly he would push April away, and keep hold of her hand as he spun her at least three times before bringing her back in just as the song ended. With a few heavy breaths he chuckled at the girl, “…I practiced, because I didn't want to forget you” he admitted blushing slightly, releasing her from his grasp he glanced over at the clock noticing they would have just five minutes left.
He smiled reaching for his girlfriend’s hand once more, he took the lead as they walked behind the curtain that rested in the stage on the other side there were many stage props, surely from one of today’s shows. Once in there Bunji walked between the gap of the props, then made it to a long ladder that was bolted to the wall, “Ok, time for the grand finale miss” he added as he jumped on the ladder, and climbed it keeping a good enough pace for them to get to the top as fast as possible. Pushing open the rooftop door, Bunji climbed out landing on the rooftop, and standing upright he waited for April to help her if she needed it, “Come on slow poke” he teased the girl playfully with his joking tone. Once she was there with him he led her to the edge of the roof on the northern side, the view was amazing from this point many of the houses, and natural beauty that surrounded the town could be seen from the rooftop of the theater. The sky itself was dark dotted with stars, and a crescent moon hovering high above them without a cloud to hinder its glow from reaching the duet that stood atop the roof.
“Three minutes” he said suddenly turning his face towards April he smiled at her, “Have you figured out what it is that I am going to show you?” he asked her curiously wondering if she had maybe thought of what could be coming their way.
