Here it was. Time for his first day as an official Rune Knight. Alexandra adjusted his sleeves and tugged on his collar some, standing before a mirror to make sure everything looked right, and he lightly touched the choker around his neck before turning to leave the room. It was ironic for a member of the church, an inhabitant even, to treasure a gift from someone most people would see as unholy and satanic. Yet, despite this, it was second in importance only to his own ribbons, though the difference was so small none would be able to notice.
"I'm leaving now, Father Comstock." Alexandra's first stop was his foster father's room, raised to always tell him whenever leaving the Church and entering the city itself, and as always, a warm smile and slight nod was all the Knight received for an answer. He wasn't bothered by it, however; the man was mute, and served more as a housekeeper for the Church, with Alexandra helping out whenever he could. His second stop was the main meeting room, but rather than praying to the altar, Alexandra went off to the side and stood before a marble statue of a Seraph, bowing his head and clasping his hands together in silent prayer.
Watch over me, Lord Helel. May I serve the One as you do, and protect the Innocent from Evil. Grant me the strength to never falter, and always stand on the side of Justice.
Opening the front doors of the church, the bright sun temporarily blinded him, however his eyes soon adjusted as he walked out into Crocus, a warm smile spread across his face. Though only tasked with patrolling the city, he would stand vigilant in his tasks; while a servant of the Law, Alexandra prioritized protecting 'lives' and his conception of 'justice' over arresting people and the like, but still no Crime would be permitted, regardless of the cause.
