“Well, then, let's go!” Nyaou took her by the hand abruptly and with the utmost degree of bustling spirit, jogged through the town. It was no titanic distance from the bridge there were moving towards. Nyaou let go of the girl's hand and ran to about the small, stone bridge's middle. He looked into the water briefly, then directed his sights towards the river's bank. He pointed towards a figure who looked a lot like Myo, except younger and wearing a weathered cloak of a hebetudinous brown. A dense atmosphere claimed him and him alone, making sure to sullen and, ostensibly, pacify him.
“There he is! That's where he goes to be alone.” He looked back towards the two. Topaz, of course, had followed along and seemed engrossed within the sight before him. “See those two tails he's got? That's the telltale sign of a black sheep. Cats with two tails like that are looked at as demons, but not me. Myo's nice, so I think everyone just can't find anything better to complain about.”
“He called himself a Nekomata,” Topaz stated plainly, waiting for their 'guide' to elaborate.
“Yeap, or Bakeneko. Though, I just call him Myo. Lately, though, he's been really distant.” He hopped down and approached the fork-tailed feline. “Hey, Myo! Sup?” There came a pause before he looked up at him.
“Ah. Nyaou. What brings you all the way out here?” Unenthusiastic, apathetic – it was all in great contrast to Nyaou who was bubbly and cheerful.
“To see you, of course. What's wrong?” His question seemed to sweep the area with a subtle sensation. Afterwards, it was as if the young version of Myo could no longer perceive their presence. He returned to staring sightlessly at the water.
“Oh, well,” the pink cat started. “It was worth a try.”
“So, how do we help him?” Topaz asked, somewhat flustered. It was obvious he didn't understand the purpose of any of this. There was hardly a delay in answering his question.
“As I understand it, you're here to help him, aye? We need to get to a memory where his darkness is exposed. Let me try to get that for you guys.”
