As a prince of his caliber, rest was for the weak. And the Kou Empire prides themselves off strength, which isn't solely brute force, but determination also falls under that category. It manufactures a mental toughness, - a trait some countries lack- accompany by the almighty physical prowess. Albeit, Yu was not top of his family or the strongest in the empire, however, he was dutiful. Every little thing that occurred, he desired to be knowledgeable, accepting that heavy responsibility.
As soon as he heard the whistles, declaring some sort of trouble. Jiaya was slipping his trench coat on, slinging the Dadao sheath on his shoulder. After all, he was one of them, getting involved in the unknown situation felt natural.
Knowing Kou's environment and structures assisted in shaving time off his arrival to one of the guards jogging to the disturbance. "What happen for the guard to be on alert." he questioned, tone smooth and come yet commanding. He listened intently, nodding in confirmation. Lips thinned as he mentioned a perhaps dead but hopefully injured man serving the Kou Empire. "Lead me to that scene then." Yu looked cautiously over his shoulder, paranoia nipping at his heels.
Did another country infiltrate Kou to plant seeds of war? No, that could not be it. The young prince shook his head, dismissing the idea. If they desired to make a statement, the assailant would have gone after someone of royalty. Realizing that, what Yu was running into a possible trap? Luring him in seemed quite easy enough as one could see. He had to remember this for future reference; he was not going to be a puppet on strings, oblivious to the string cutting.
"So that's him, huh - Catch your breath." The guard sucking in air nodded, stepping to the side to let Yu pass. Two other guards crouched around the victim stood and bowed immediately. "...He passed." a rhetorical question in a way, Jiaya already knew he was dead. No beat dropped, his heart quit drumming. Air puffed out of his mouth, sighing. He kneeled down and slipped a hand into the man's vest, fishing for identification. Upon reeling it out, he stared at the name and face, a despondent look claiming his features. "Need a few things from you guys. First, get this body off the street. Secondly, radio to everyone to try to keep calm, don't run too, - just don't exert yourself. Tell everyone that now. " A radio was thrown his way and he slipped it into his pocket.
Now was the time to catch the bastard who killed, in Yu's head, an innocent man. It was absurd how they came and caused ruckus and death in Kou land. Words weren't required, two guards and Yu was on the move as concentrating on certain heartbeats. Ones that shared a quickening pace, but the shouting that he heard and cloud of debris assisted in pinpointing in the right direction. Crimson eyes flickered up ahead, discovering a male in black slacks. "Span out yards ahead of that cloud of dust, surround this neighborhood, no one is to leave as of now." The dust was nothing long as the culprits could be heard, and considering one was already near him, the other couldn't be too far.
"You punk, halt!" Jiaya tapped one of the guards on his shoulder and pointed straight ahead, commanding him to continue the search. Moreover, without further ado, the prince removed his Dadao, keeping it to his side as he moved closer to Hayden. Where is your partner?! Speak quickly."
