For a prince, Yu stuffed his face like a plebian swine that haven't eaten in days. Considering how he inhaled the cuisines off stacking plates, one could stretch days out into months. Obviously, the young prince acquired a gluttonous appetite, enduring since he was a wee lad. Now he was a young man and the passion for hunger persisted. Surely, someone out there in the world could match his penchant for good food, albeit, asking if he would run into said people today. He'd call your bluff with a dignified smile.
To his surprise and dismay, glutton challengers arrived on the scene, accompanied by an aroma of rotten flesh, which seem to desire nothing more than to slick right their faces. Moreover, there was this song, a melody that manufactured a wary tingle down Yu spine. It was a song of chaos, impending death, and perpetual hunger. The call of genocide and all living humans reaping that lovely benefit.
"uurrhhhgggg"
That groan made Yu jump to his feet, the chicken leg in his mouth falling dramatically on his plate. He stared through the window of a local restaurant. Wine colored eyes following the people screaming and running ing opposite direction of one lone, sickly looking man. Usually, he might attempt to assist civilians of Fiore; however, the next action of the sickly looking man momentarily stunned him. It leaped at one of the runners fleeing, pinned it to the ground and despite the screams, its mouth widen and teeth dived into the warm flesh, blood oozed.
The dinner bell had rung and the feast began.
"What in Lords Kou name..." mumbled Yu, hand instinctively reaching for his Dadao handle, luckily he brought it today. "I think I should leave now. Rather - Excuse me!" he caught the attention of a busboy upon raising his voice. "Lock this door after I depart." The young man nodded while Yu sucked up the courage to play hero. Gaining the effort to do so wasn't hard, before acknowledgment, his feet reeled him outside faster than expected.
Although mouth dry, hands shaking every-so-lightly, the Kou prince managed to remove his weapon from its scabbard. "As Kou -- As Kou Empire Royalty, I command you to cease your madness." Accompanying those words were a boot to the ill man's side, removing him from the now quiet woman. The thing moaned and stumbled to its feet, eying its new prey. Before another word could be slip of the royal tongue, the shell of a man lunged at him. Instincts wrapped around Yu, tangling him in its armored web. Soon as the outstretched hands attempted to grab him, his sword discovered a new scabbard within the chest captivities of his assaulter.
Literally, somehow that was his downfall.
The woman presumed dead, grabbed his ankle, tripping him under the weight of his new sheathe and to his surprise, continued moving. Arms swiped at the air, trying to scratch at Yu's face while falling down, down, landing on his back. "Dammit" He spat, pushing his sword upwards, desperately keeping the flesh eater from landing a scratching. Not only that, he had to fend off the woman grasping his ankle. Foot met face, more than a couple of times, but she remained persistent.
All seemed like it was coming to an end. Even as he looked to the left, bad news headed his way, like a magnet. Combination of screaming people and more of these creatures stumbled or ran towards him. Those people in that restaurant would be next on the menu, which fault lies on him. The afflicted looking crowd were on the top of the food chain at the moment, if only he could slip away. Damn he should have stayed home, where his army helped defend.
"Shit shit shit." As a future king of Kou, dying here would be humiliating. So he struggled. A little help may do wonders for his sanity and life.
