Searching for a merchant selling some more exotic ingredients that would allow her to cook a delicious dinner for her friends and comrades, Caitlyn once again made her way across the streets of Magnolia Town and got lost. Even though having no real idea where exactly she was and how she was supposed to find the spice trader she had seen while visiting the town along with some friends, the fuchsia haired Dragon Slayer for once didn't mind being lost. Not a single, lone cloud roamed the pure azure above, allowing the sun to gently embrace the earth below with its comfortable rays. Seeing the warm breeze gently picking up a bunch of leaves, causing them to recklessly dance in midair, the female mage found herself unable to resist the urge of dancing along. Twirling like a little child she kept her eyes closed while smiling brightly, completely ignoring the confused and dismissive gazes of the other bystanders as she made her way down the pavement. Magnolia was a beautiful town and the weather caused the already admirable place to shine even more. A resounding scream that suddenly echoed across the alleyways caused Cait's motions to stop abruptly as it sent shivers down her spine.
Not knowing what was going on, the young girl nevertheless turned around and started running into the direction she thought to be the scream's origin. Searching for the girl that had screamed as if she had seen a corpse, Caitlyn noticed that the buzzing that usually filled Magnolia Town had given way to a somewhat scary silence. Slowing her steps she kept straying across the city, wondering what was going on. Even though everything seemed normal on this beautiful day, she felt a weird sensation gnawing at her heart, telling her that something horrible was going on. Approaching one of the town's numerous squares everything seemed a bit too calm, but still normal. Dogs were running across the streets, the smell of freshly baked apple pie was in the air, humans were eating one another and... wait, what? Realizing what she had just witnessed Cait's face filled with a mixture of disgust and confusion. A bloodied woman was pleasurably eating the remains of what had once been a merchant. Startling backwards, the rose haired Dragon Slayer accidentally hit a can, whose noise immediately attracted the cannibals attention.
Conquered by fear Caitlyn was unable to move as she watched the clumsy motions of the woman in front of her as the same got upon her feet in order to approach her, revealing a torn throat. The creature had just started to approach the young girl when the corpse, she had previously considered her meal, suddenly got up as well. Tears forced themselves into Cait's eyes as she couldn't do anything but watch how the square slowly but steadily filled with creatures would have best been described as walking corpses. Seeing all of them approaching her, she finally managed to snap out of it and started running into the depths of the man-made maze known as Magnolia Town, hoping to find the way back to Fairy Tail before these monsters reached her comrades and friends. Rushing across the tattered asphalt as quick as her feet carried her, the pink topped female encountered a steadily rising amount of corpses that moved in order to devour living humans. Running through a labyrinth of houses the scared Dragon Slayer had lost the last bit of orientation she had had before getting into this mess.
Aimlessly running for her life, a period of time that to her felt like hours, she at some point turned around only to see that she apparently had managed to leave the walking dead behind. Not willing to just drop her guard she, however, took this opportunity to stop her movements in an attempt to catch her breathe. Her mauve shaded orbs kept rushing within their opaque, fibrious layers, carefully scanning the surrounding area for approaching corpses. Despite being capable of catching her breathe, Cait's heart refused to stop hustling within her chest. Recovering for a moment or two the female Fairy Tail mage then carefully continued to make her way across this urban canyon. Running around yet another corner, her heart literally skipped a beat in joy as a somewhat familiar face entered her field of vision. Even though she had no real clue who the flaxen topped male was, Caitlyn was sure that she had seen him at the guild before and therefore came to the conclusion that he also was a member of Fairy Tail. Fortunately he seemed unhurt and in full possession of his consciousness, which allowed the guess that he wasn't going to turn into one of these creatures anytime soon.
Sadly her joy was ephemeral since the blond was surrounded by the same bloodthirsty beings that had chased her before. Not hesitating, she quickly walked over to him, hoping to come up with a strategy that would allow them to make it out of this nightmare. Approaching him with swift steps, Cait's lips parted. "Finally a familiar face! On top of that one that doesn't want to eat me alive." Despite being scared and more than just agitated, the rose topped girl's voice carried calm and even somewhat confident tone that clearly contradicted her trembling spheres. "Do you know what's going on here? What is this nightmare?" Sure, she only knew her supposed comrade by sight, but they really had bigger problems than lacking introductions, right?
