As she kissed the young man she had such intense feelings for, she was worried that he went entirely rigid and seemed to do nothing whatsoever to give her an idea of how he felt too. Of course, he had been saying for a long time how he felt about her, but what if the kiss had put him off? It was possible and not unusual, and she was about to end the kiss there and then, as soon as she had initiated it, to give up the ghost and leave Magnolia. If she couldn’t have Kai, she had no reason to be here, after all. But that was when he surprised her (in a very good way) and wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her closer. She smiled into the kiss, unable to help herself, and she removed her hands from the sides of his face to wrap her arms around his neck to further deepen their intimate moment.

After she had broken the kiss, her cheeks still blazed red as she found herself unable to stop the blush spreading on her face. She gazed up into his turquoise orbs and he stared straight back in her magenta ones, not speaking until she initially broke that ice by stating she had been wanting to kiss Kai for far too long. In spite of her obvious embarrassment and being flustered by her actions, which were brought about by her pent up emotions, she smiled at his comment about how he had been waiting for her to that much. Secretly, she had always known that she would be the one to initiate their first kiss. She was fiery like that, and portrayed her emotions in actions rather than words. When she looked back at him after averting her gaze, managing to dissipate most of her earlier blush, she noticed that he was looking at the Buster Blade she had bought for him.

He seemed a little stunned that she had bought it, repeating as such twice before piecing together how she had done so in such a… secretive manner. She returned his grin with one of her own, nodding eagerly as she was obviously very proud of her little plan. It had taken her a lot of time to think of it, in order to execute the whole thing without a hitch. Kai brought up something they had been bickering playfully about earlier, with her admitting to her feelings like she had done only moments before now. He stated that this meant he won, which she pouted at in response, unwrapping her arms from around him to place both hands on her hips, leaning forward slightly with a defiant look on her face. “No way! You didn’t win! And… and…” From sounding so defiant and determined, she faded into meaningless babbling. She finished with a small pout that softened into a delighted smile when she felt him gently nuzzle her.

He posed a question of her, but before she could answer, he led her over to the beds that they slept in separately, pulling her on top of him before wrapping his arms around her again. Ellie rested happily atop Kai, smiling and cupping her chin with an outstretched palm, using his chest to prop her elbow on. She looked at him, remaining silent for a little while longer as if contemplating his question. Her eyes seemed to sparkle with how happy she obviously was at present. “So, so, so, so… so, so, SO much better.” She emphasised just how relieved she was to have that all off her chest, and to have it all so eagerly returned to boot. She truly did feel unbelievably lucky. “But yanno, I don’t think I’ve ‘lost’… I think that I’ve won. Because I’ve done what the guy usually does and you were the super girlie one.” She grinned delightedly at her own achievement, poking fun at how she was the driving force out of the pair of them and making Kai seem more feminine in the process.

Ellie had quickly unwrapped her arms from him and was now pouting, looking at him in a way that suggested a playful anger, simply aimed at the fact that he was considering himself the victor of their little skirmish. And yet, when he nuzzled her she couldn't help but smile and stand with him. "I didn't win eh?" Kai said, smirking. Ellie was happily propped on top of him, and that made him feel a nice warm feeling inside. She was always like this, always somewhat childish and yet, cute in a way that appealed to Kai far more than other girls. And then there was her way of dealing with him, she acted in ways that she knew would get a rise out of him. And he was crazy for her, and now he knew that she was crazy for him, and that was perfect.

As they lay upon the bed, Ellie grinned at him from on top of his chest, and she was quiet for a moment before letting out a quick reply. She was excited, far more so than he had ever seen her. Her reply had been emphasized to a point that it was almost odd, and yet, it matched her personality completely. She was one that overdid things, or explained herself with overzealous actions, and with the absence of physical actions her words were excited in their place.

He closed his eyes and lay his head back on his pillow, listening as Ellie talked and smiling contentedly to both the situation and himself. Ellie had thought she won, she felt she won because she had asserted herself and kissed him rather than he kiss her. She had even gone so far as to call him girly because of it. Yet, he could easily come back with the fact that she had been unwilling to admit her feelings until now. Sure, had she admitted them before, Kai would have been all over her. He was the romantic type, and one that was big on physical contact, so had he known she was good with it he would have had so much more contact with her. "I disagree, I'm gentlemanly, not girly. I technically made the first move by telling you I liked you this way, you were the one being all secretive about it. If I had known enough that you were good with me making the first move I might have done something like this." He took one of his hands and pulled her head forward gently, kissing her once again, far longer this time. When he broke the kiss he caressed the small of her back, smiling seductively at Ellie. It wasn't really like him to smile that way, but he was happy that Ellie was here with him. She was usually the one who was making the physical moves, with Kai playing with mental warfare, but now he was plenty happy to make the moves on her. "You're quite the woman, Ellie, you know that? Your personality, your looks, you have everything that every guy would want, so, why did you pick me? Might I ask? I mean, there had to be plenty of guys that went after you, so why did you pick me?"

Somehow, everything about this felt so… right. It was hard to put words together to explain exactly how it felt, but needless to say Ellie was absolutely delighted. Her magenta eyes slowly took in every visual feature, magnetised especially towards Kai’s smile. He seemed so happy, so content, and just to see him like that made her vow to make him smile like that all of the time. If she ever hurt him, she would first hurt herself to new levels; how could she hurt such a wonderful person when they had cared for her and been patient for her? Anybody else would have given up long ago, but not Kai. And she couldn’t even begin to explain how happy that made her feel. Now that he was in her life, she couldn’t imagine it without him.

She watched as he settled his head back down onto the pillow, closing his eyes while she spoke to him and smiling unbelievably widely to herself while she saw his own content smile grow. Of course, she had been teasing Kai beforehand, even if she was still ridiculously proud of herself for what she did. It was supposed to be the guy’s job to ask out the girl, right? That being said, nothing was official per say, but she accepted it as such. That kiss had basically told him all he needed to know, and asked the question too, which he had answered.

‘Will you be mine?’

When it was pointed out to her that Kai was more of a gentleman than he was a girl, she pouted at being corrected but she couldn’t help but agree regardless. He pointed out that it was her being all secretive, especially since he had basically come straight out with his own feelings, perhaps making him the bigger person in this matter. A blush touched her cheeks at this fact, and she puffed her cheeks out a little as a visual sign of protest. Just as she was about to open her mouth to speak and defend herself about her being cagey with her feelings before, she found herself wondering what he would do after he finished with ‘something like this’. Her eyes barely had time to cloud with confusion before she felt a gentle pressure being applied to the back of her head to bring her closer to him, and he was kissing her this time. She visibly seemed to melt into the kiss, already getting used to his lips from only two kisses. That being said, they were both unbelievably mind-blowing. She settled herself back to resting on top of him afterwards, unable to stop a shudder of surprise running throughout her body as he slowly caressed her lower back; a weak spot of hers. She instinctively arched her back a little, smiling as she pressed an ear to his chest over where his heart was beating rhythmically. It sounded as sweet as a melody to her.

While he was speaking she paid close attention, but one hand absently wandered to his snowy white locks, playing with his hair absently while he talked. The compliments he gave her were glowing, and they made her smile shyly as well as blush rather visibly upon receiving them. She was surprised when he asked her why she chose him over other guys, but it wasn’t hard for her to answer. “The reason why I chose you is because you’re not like anybody else." To say that she wasn’t overly good with words, these seemed to come out rather well, especially with the amount of true emotion she seeped into them. “Every guy always wants one thing, which isn’t entirely honourable. Having grown up with guys, I didn’t actually want to get involved with them at all beyond friendships… but then you came along and taught me that it was possible for your one-track minds to care about other things too.” Although she had used a joke in amongst her kind words, she was entirely sincere and the jest was only a way of making it easier for her. Sharing her feelings was difficult, and Kai would know that. “You actually like me, what I am underneath this façade… you’re kind, ridiculously smart, a very strong person, level-headed with the right amount of fun… like my opposite. I know it sounds cliché, but… you complete me, Kai.” She said softly, lifting her head to smile at him. Tears of sheer joy glistened in her eyes, and she couldn’t care less. All that mattered was that she was here with the young man she loved unconditionally.

Kai laid there, holding Ellie and listening to her reason for picking him, breathing slowly as he felt a sense of calm flow over him. She was playing with his hair just as he was playing with her, and he liked the feeling of her smooth hand running over his scalp.

So, he wasn't like anybody else? Well, that was a given, and yet her reasons were far more sound than what he had thought about before. She had known enough guys to have experience in judging them, and she had found him worthy and true. Of course, he was both of those things, but having her of that opinion made him feel far surer about that. He had managed to break her out of the mold that she had formed, he had managed to get her to commit to a relationship, and that gave him a sense of pride as well as achievement.

His chest rose and fell quickly as he chuckled to himself about her cliche line. "Yes, you're quite right about that. It sounds pretty cliche. I know what you mean though. You...fill most of what is empty in me." Kai had been about to repeat her line back to her, but it wouldn't be true. He was empty to a point that not even Ellie could fill it all. No, he needed family for that, he needed his sister as well as Ellie, and maybe...if they could find them...their Dragons.

"One thing is for sure. I'll love you so long as you love me."
