- - - - - It was highly unlikely that any human being whom walked this earth knew what was going on inside Rome's mind without any telepathic help. Then again, it was highly unlikely that each human being knew what lies within each other's minds. Yes, occasionally, there's a small group of like-minded people who share the same thought, opinions and views on certain things, but who knows? Each individual thinks differently because they were exposed to different things during the course of their lifetime. Growing up differently, being taught different things, listening to different music, watching different shows, having different forms of interaction with different people, it all pretty much sums up one person's life.
Even though technically, she can be called a human right then, she couldn't age. Maybe it was because of the magic that changed her into what she was, or maybe it was her very own magic that prevented her human body from deteriorating, but whatever it was, it sure served little to change how her thought process works, and right then, her mind circled around one question in particular, creating logical pathways, theories and predictions on the possible answers regarding the simple question of 'Why is he such a strange human being?'
Rome was ready for anything. For him to lean down and start doing those unsavory acts, for her to defend herself if need be, for anything, really. It wouldn't be the first time that someone had made a pass at her, it wouldn't be the first time someone had attempted to do more than just that, and it wouldn't be the first time that she herself had put on a facade to get what she wants, though with the current situation, the latter wasn't the case at all. The cyborg wasn't afraid to show any emotions whatsoever, but why bother showing them if there was nothing for her to gain?
It did, however, mildly surprise her when he climbed off and just chose to sit right beside her. Yes, there were good people in this world, but when it really came down to it, she truly trusted only one man, and that man was long gone. The man did speak again earlier on, but as per usual, there was no response from Rome. Although this is the strangest human specimen she had ever come in contact with so far, it would take more than just that to provoke a verbal sentence to come out of her mouth. And so, she just continued laying there, almost without a care in the world, the want to prove that earlier theory of this man having no reflection seemingly pushed to the back of her mind for the time being.
Still, the warm trickle of red liquid that flowed down the exposed skin of her right shoulder irked her, just a little bit. The good thing about being a cyborg was the fact that she couldn't feel pain on her metallic limbs and body. Human bodies are so fragile, so sensitive, yet so perceptive. She had no idea whether to be amazed, or disgusted by what she currently had.
