- - - - - Again, Rome has never really been one to follow the norm. In fact, when she's decided upon doing something, there was little someone could do to actually stop her, whether if it was a good idea, or a really bad one like how she intended to head towards the train station. Who cares if there were hordes of zombies there? Hell, if the trains weren't moving, all she needed to do was to turn the power on and operate it, right? Its not hard for machines to communicate with other machines in a way that normal human beings - or vampires wouldn't ever comprehend. Naturally, the girl was still a bit hesitant when it came to trusting this person and his fiery sword, but for the time being, it certainly didn't seem as though he had intended on hurting her, and he did make it very clear that he would only use that sword against her if she were turned into one of them, which was highly unlikely.
Hell, the moment he thrust his bladed weapon forward, Rome dashed forward herself, dodging the razor sharp edges of the magical weaponry by a mere couple of inches before she propelled herself upwards, using none other than the vampire's head as a launching pad to boost her lower body upwards, just in time for the soles of her feet to collide against the trachea of that unsuspecting sorry excuse for an undead. Perhaps her companion would've seen this coming, perhaps not, but as he occupied himself with the thoughts of trying to impress a potential mate of the opposite gender, she still remained alert, and right off the corner of her eyes, there had been a zombie, leaping straight off the edge of a building. Of course, she had no clue as to how good a living dead corpse's accuracy and hand-eye coordination were, but had that creature landed, it would've probably flattened, and subsequently taken a chomp off the cold turkey flesh from that sex offending blood sucker.
Just as she had previously thought, the weakened and decaying state of that zombie's body had heightened to the point of its entire head flying off. Then again, it could have been from the impact of its fall and the angular position of her well-placed boot. Ah well, she had no interest in figuring out the conclusions of those theories, because right now, it seems as though the two of them were surrounded.
Hordes of zombies perched on each side of the open road. They weren't really moving, but all eyes were definitely set on the both of them. For everyone else, this was definitely a scene that truly defined the sentence 'Oh you done fucked up now', because each of those zombies were eyeing them, as though they were searching for the most tender and juiciest part of their limbs to start off with. There can never be satisfaction when it comes to a zombie's bottomless hunger, but right now?
"Threat detected. Danger levels, rising. Assault mode, engaged."
There was a reason why she hasn't spoken a single word in twenty years, and this was it. These were the only words that would come out of her mouth when she's in her human form, and sure enough, the transformation sequence began. Her skin grew to an inhuman paleness, and her usual pink haired lightened to the point of it being bleach blonde. Her eyes began adapting to the changes as well, retaining the sapphire blue tone, but with the hint of a robotic glow. Her usual clothes melded away, as bits of armor began forming on her neck and torso, down to her bottom half. It didn't make her seem overly terrifying in a sense, because the first thought and sight that anyone would feast their eyes on upon the finished result were one of either two things. Her butt, or her tits, because frankly, both were exposed to a high degree, what with her armor being in the form of a leotard with gauntlets and thigh high boots.
Though it may not be outwardly obvious to anyone, the girl's insides held the biggest changes. Instead of a human heart that pumped blood, she had a human heart that is designed to pump voltage and electrical currents throughout her entire system. In place of her human brain was a chip, and that chip alone held more knowledge than 80% of this earth's population, combined. There were no human bones, either. Only adamantium that had been structurally enhanced by genetic modification of a certain breed of nanotechnology. Her skin and flesh, however, remained largely the same, but due to the lack of typical human veins, arteries, and an organic brain, she hoped that this was somewhat sufficient to grant her an immunity against whatever cursed magical virus that had caused all this.
The biggest problem was that she had no weaponry in this form, but really, who needs it when she's only dealing with a couple hundred zombies? No. This was child's play, compared to all the tests, examinations and field work she had to go through during her experimental phase. Right now, it was the two of them against a horde of the undead, and they were severely outnumbered. There was a simple militaristic strategy in the old guidebooks should they ever encounter a situation identical to this, and that was to shoot everywhere, everyone and everything, because you know you have no allies out there.
And so far, that strategy hasn't failed her once.
